Be brave, my friend!  Be brave!

The artist, Henri Matisse, said something very profound in just three words:

“Creativity takes courage.”

I will attest to that. I can’t think of one time when my creative work was not accompanied by some kind of fear.  For me, creativity and fear walk hand in hand pretty much all the time. Strange, but consistent bedfellows they are!

And my fears are so creative!  They vary in size and scope. They come at any time, day or night. They are imaginative and clever. And they are custom made just for me.

But come to think of it, the same can be said for my ideas! They vary in size and scope.  They come at any time, day or night. They are imaginative and clever. They are custom made just for me.

Hmmm.

I’m coming to realize that the mind that can create a multitude of fears can also create a multitude of ideas. So, expect fear, but expect ideas, too!

The next time a fear comes to your mind, try to recognize it as evidence of your amazing creativity.

And the next time an idea comes to your mind, try to recognize it as evidence of your amazing creativity.

Yes, creativity takes courage! But you are brave! So…

Don’t be afraid of your fears. Don’t be afraid of your ideas. Let them both serve you, and you will create awesome things!

Have a great week!

Always LOVE!

Andrea
