Gratitude & Creativity are Good Buddies!
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving so I’ve been thinking about gratitude a lot this week. Honestly, I think it’s pretty awesome that the entire United States sets aside a whole day to be thankful!
I’ve always felt that gratitude and creativity go hand in hand.
But lately I’ve learned that there are actually studies that prove it.
Consider this:
“The greater your capacity for sincere appreciation, the deeper the connection to your heart, where intuition and unlimited inspiration and possibilities reside.” —HeartMath Institute
That’s awesome, right!
Deepak Chopra said this, “Gratitude opens the door to the power, the wisdom, the creativity of the Universe.”
I’ve pondered why this would be, and here are my thoughts.
When I feel grateful:
My heart is open.
I’m not thinking about myself and my problems.
I'm inspired and energized.
I want to create and share.
Just the act of expressing a sincere thank you is so good for the soul. And anything good for the soul is good for our creative work. When we express our sincere appreciation, we feel an instant shift in our energy which increases our capacity to create.
And there’s something magical about expressing thanks OUT LOUD to real people.
Try it over the next few days. When you feel thankful for something or someone, speak it! Don’t withhold those feelings of gratitude and goodness. Look someone in the eyes and say “I’m thankful for you, and here’s why…”
So…
To everyone here in The Creativity Course community, I just want to say “I’m thankful for you, and here’s why!”
You inspire me.
You bring out the best in me.
You give me purpose.
You encourage me when times are tough.
You make my life richer and more meaningful.
You shine with goodness and generosity.
You are my family who are friends, and friends who are family.
You love me. And I love you back!
I wish I could fully express the deep feelings of my heart.
Please know that you are loved and appreciated, and I couldn’t feel more blessed because you all are in my life!
I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!
ALWAYS LOVE!
Andrea
