Acknowledging our Angels

So…

Sometimes there are things that happen in our creative lives that we just can’t logically explain. An idea comes to our mind, a solution to a problem finally reveals itself, the right person enters our life just at the right moment, something flows from our hands or our hearts that we don’t really recognize as us because it’s more than we thought we were.

I’ve had a few of those moments lately, and all I know to do is breathe deeply and say,

“Thank you.”

I’ve always believed that creative work is divine work—that when we create, there is a providential force working on our behalf, sometimes right along with us.

We may not see it, but we feel it, and it is

Just.

So.

Lovely.

This message is just a reminder to be on the lookout for those beautiful, otherworldly collaborations and moments of divine inspiration.

Acknowledge them, reverence them, and store them up in your memory. Sometimes those experiences are meant to be shared, and sometimes they are meant to be held tightly in that sacred space in our hearts meant for such things.

If you do choose to share, here is a gentle word of caution…

We all know it is human nature to tell others about things that sound sensational and impressive because people might think YOU are awesome for having had such a special experience. When you have received a divine gift, remember how it was imparted to you—quietly, almost imperceptibly. Share your experience with that same spirit—with humble gratitude, not drawing attention to yourself. Then you will come away with a full heart, not a hollow one.

Here’s just one more thought, which may be obviously stating the obvious.

I share so you don't miss the obvious!

I believe that heaven will JOIN us in our creative work when we are DOING our creative work.

That’s just a nicer way of saying, put your seat of the pants in the seat of the chair and do your work.

I believe beautiful, even divine things will happen if you do.

Always LOVE!

Andrea
